NES Fircroft is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager for an exciting FLNG project.

Initially the incumbent will be based in Oslo, Norway in the offices of the FLNG Project Management team, as an integral member of the Pre-Operations group, or at the Marine Support Services (MSS) contractors’ offices. During this initial phase they will coordinate & manage the development of the Operations Management System (OMS) by the MSS Contractor. As the Project develops the position will be transferred to the shipyard in Korea to provide input and establish the routines and facilities onboard. During the Commissioning phase at the shipyard the position will become rotational as a back-to-back incumbent will be hired.

At vessel sail away, the position will be fully based onboard the FLNG as the Manager of the FLNG.

  ROLE & OBJECTIVE

• The Offshore Installation Manager is responsible onboard the FLNG to ensure that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently and in compliance with the regulatory requirements:
• Oversee all offshore operations ensuring compliance to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Coordinate all daily activities onboard the FLNG and provide guidance on technical and operational issues.
• Develop and implement the necessary plans, schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Company policies.
• Conduct onboard safety audits and risk assessments implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure that all onboard personnel training is current.
• Manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals, facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of all activities, onboard incidents, and operational performance
• In the Pre-Operations phase, the OIM shall report to the Pre-Operations Manager. Upon transfer to the offshore vessel management team, they will report to the onshore Senior Operations Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES DURING PRE-OPERATIONS PHASE

• Coordinate the development of the FLNG Operations Management system being prepared by the MSS Contractor, this shall include:
• Ensuring that the SMS is fully developed and approved by DNV in compliance with the IMO regulations, by end 2027.
• Ensuring that all onboard safety procedures being developed by the Contractor meet or exceed the requirements of Pembina safety policies & procedures.
• Ensuring that the Liquefaction procedures  are integrated into the OMS.
• Participate in the recruitment of the senior onboard team members such as: Operations Superintendent, Maintenance Superintendents, Safety Coordinator, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree or Master Mariners certificate with a minimum 7 years’ experience as an Offshore Installation Manager within the offshore oil & gas industry.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience related to FLNG/FPSO/RFSU and LNG tankers.
• Experience in developing Safety Management Strategies and systems would be an advantage.
• Experience in Projects during the Commissioning and Start Up phase would be an advantage.
