Wood is recruiting for a Expeditor to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the desk expediting of purchase orders to ensure that they are delivered/ready for collection within project schedule/purchase order terms.

Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Expeditor will be responsible:

• Creation of daily expediting reports in materials management system.
• Daily desk expediting of purchase orders.
• Understands the supplier delivery obligations form the terms and conditions of purchase
• Ability to interpret supplier production plans to identify improvement opportunities and negotiate delivery improvements
• Updating of materials management system with the expediting status of Purchase Orders.
• Continually set expediting follow up dates in materials management system.
• Issue expediting progress reports and update system accordingly.
• Notifying Senior Expeditor / Supply Chain Manager of any potential schedule slippages.
• Maintain an auditable file of all relevant expediting documentation for each purchase order in relevant shared drive / area.
• Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices.
• Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours.
• Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework

Experience:

• Qualified to ISCED Level 4/5 (Post-Secondary non-tertiary/Short-Cycle tertiary).
• Minimum 5 years expediting experience delivering results
• Detailed knowledge of Suppliers and Expediting Status Reporting.
• Awareness of supplier production schedules
• Understanding of how terms and conditions of purchase influence delivery requirements
