PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
- Utilize safe work habits
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or work pieces as well as select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, turning, grinding attachments, accessories, and materials on the laser.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate cutting and turning factors such as speed, gas pressure, and part clearance, additionally, learn to enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control programs.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Machine parts and components within the specified tolerances, with limited scrap and in time with the production schedule.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals required
- A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
- Previous machine operating experience is preferred
