Are you ready to join our team as a Production Tech III and make a significant impact in the oil and gas industry? As a Contract Production Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting compression equipment in the Mentone Wolf Camp production area. With your strong mechanical skills and experience in production forecasting and analysis, you will play a crucial role in meeting production targets and ensuring optimal performance.

Role Overview

• Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repairs on compression equipment, including compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnosing: Utilize your mechanical skills to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaboration with Production Teams: Work closely with production personnel to ensure equipment performance aligns with production targets.
• Installation and Commissioning: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Equipment Performance Monitoring: Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and environmental standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
• Independent and Team Work: Work independently and as part of a team to support the efficient operation of the compression systems.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Occidental Petroleum's safety procedures and industry regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical Skills: Ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
• Production Experience: Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting compression equipment, ideally in an oil and gas production environment.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to Safety: Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are needed due to dealing with various vendors in the field.

Education & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in compression maintenance.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or trade school degree preferred.
