Vestas Nacelles Deutschland GmbH is a leading developer, manufacturer, and repairer of various generators for wind turbines for a sustainable energy supply. The company is part of VESTAS WIND SYSTEMS A/S, a global manufacturer of wind turbines from the kilowatt to megawatt class, headquartered in Denmark.
To strengthen our Production Excellence department, we are seeking a working student (m/f/d) at our Travemünde location. Your main focus will be to identify potential for improvement in the production flow (according to LEAN methodology) and to ensure flow in production. The basis for this will be to create the value stream using a simulation (digital twin). You will therefore act as an interface between production employees, group leaders, quality, and production management in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to provide operational and strategic project support, contributing to the success of our company together with team leaders, specialists, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste in the manufacturing process
- Identify problematic operations
- Create and standardize work procedures
- Support the PEX Department
Qualifications
- You are a registered Bachelor's or Master's student at a university or technical college in the fields of engineering, business mathematics, computer science or similar
Competencies
- You enjoy working with numbers and analytical, data-driven work
- You have good organizational skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a high willingness to learn
- You are proficient in MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel
- You are comfortable communicating professionally in German and English
- You are curious and are highly motivated
- You are looking for a student job for approximately 10-20 hours per week
- Previous LEAN knowledge is nice to have. Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory; knowledge of PowerBI or Ariba is also welcomed
