Job SummaryBakken Overview
The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company's position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 560,000 net acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 178,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.

During 2022, net production averaged 95 MBOED. There were 43 operated wells brought online during 2022, bringing the total to more than 800 operated wells online at year-end.

Position Overview
If you are chosen as the North Mechanical Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of both company and contract workforce in various mechanical and preventative maintenance activities across a large geographical area. Strong communication skills are important, as you will need to collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning and Scheduling, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of tasks. Additionally, you will be expected to lead safety meetings and represent the company as a leader at sponsored events.

This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supervising corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance activities including supporting the defect elimination process to ensure that work is performed in compliance with ConocoPhillips safety policies/procedures as well as all applicable environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Working with key support groups and customers to ensure goal alignment with Asset & Operating Integrity (A&OI) program & Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement by developing new philosophies and maintenance tactics
  • Working with Operations to ensure proper prioritization of work; Managing of Change/Risk assessment responsibilities
  • Maintaining a close link with planning and scheduling function to drive strict discipline in observation of the various work schedule and priority matrix
  • Coordinating with engineering and operations to achieve established objectives to ensure accurate project completion as per design requirements and to minimize interruptions
  • Reviewing invoices and verifying billing, expenditures, and cost-control on assigned projects
  • You will be training and/or auditing contract personnel on policies and procedures through field engagement
  • Driving contractor safety through HSE Management System & Contractor management, safety orientations and management reviews with vendors
  • Establishing procedure and guidelines and ensuring that all work activities are performed according to the established procedures, guidelines, and schedules
  • Leading and participating in incident investigations when needed
  • Participating in the LSRV and BBS programs
  • Working as a safety leader

Basic/Required:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Current/Valid driver's license
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with various computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • 7 or more years of experience in oil and gas field operations with corrective or preventive maintenance
  • 3 or more years of direct supervision experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 25% of the time on a yearly basis
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to operate a motor vehicle and drive long distances

Preferred:
  • 10 or more years of direct maintenance experience
  • Advanced level of knowledge of field operations, construction operations
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, team building, and people development skills
  • Responds inventively, flexibly and positively when faced with challenges and demands
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
