Airswift is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor for a 1-year contract in Nantong, China. Join our team and work on a major oil & gas project!
Role Overview
- Adhere to HSSE plan and enforce its implementation by the Yard
- Participate in daily toolbox talks
- Ensure Group and Project HSSE targets are met
- Adhere to Quality Plan and ensure ITP is followed diligently by the Yard
- Implement Group Quality Golden Rules
- Interface with site Quality verification team for own scope
- Create positive work relationship with Yard counterparts
- Ensure Yard Supervision team is working with latest Project drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Provide feedback on Yard manpower and physical progress to Construction Superintendent
- Participate in review and approval of Yard construction procedures related to discipline
- Attend all Inspections as per Project ITP
- Review and approve Quality Verification Documentation
- Monitor compilation of Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) by Yard
- Update as-built dossier related to scope of work
- Monitor completion of Discipline Inspection Test Reports (ITR-A's and associated Punch list) by Yard
- Assist Material Controller in performing Receiving Inspections of materials and equipment related to scope of work
Skills & Qualifications
- 15 years experience, preferably some gained under project conditions. Minimum 5 years offshore experience, with 3 years at supervisor level
- Extensive experience in leading onshore/offshore commissioning activities on complex FPSO/topsides process systems
- Strong experience in start-up activities, particularly gas treatment and compression/injection systems, seawater treatment and injection, and process systems such as cooling medium, heating medium, and glycol system
- Good knowledge of engineering and systems technology in a project environment
- Knowledge of Process Control Narrative (PCS)
- Experience in commissioning Permit-to-work (PTW) preparation & Notice of Energization (NOE)
- Ability to write technical documents and operational test procedures (OTPs)
- Knowledgeable in sub-system boundary limits & marked-up engineering drawings
- Experience in attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for large rotating equipment and ICSS hardware
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering or offshore construction advantageous
- Experience: Minimum 15 years experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in offshore construction
