Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of strategic plans considering regulations, economic, environmental, and market trends.
- Set strategic goals focused on sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to align objectives with the corporate mission.
- Support FP&A activities by ensuring accurate, risk-adjusted budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain data consistency with the strategic plan in financial processes.
- Monitor market trends affecting the utility industry.
- Assess regulatory frameworks and technologies, providing insights for challenges.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and risk management to leadership.
- Work with leaders and departments to implement strategic initiatives.
- Enhance communication among strategy teams, managers, and external partners.
- Use data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop KPIs to measure success of strategic initiatives.
- Identify risks and opportunities in strategic planning.
- Implement mitigation strategies for operational continuity.
- Provide mentorship to foster professional growth.
- Promote a collaborative environment for innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Economics, or a similar field
- MBA or a higher degree in finance is preferred
- Over 10 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting
- Experience within a regulated utility, energy, or infrastructure sector
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory environments
- Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and new technologies in the utility industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute complex strategic projects
- Outstanding analytical skills with the capacity to convert data into actionable strategies
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent project management skills
- Skilled in strategic planning tools and methodologies
