Job Description Summary

Unison is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments. Serving both original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, Unison designs, manufactures and supplies the most advanced components and systems in the world.

As the Chief Manufacturing Engineering Leader for Unison P&L, you will oversee and influence budgets and operational plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success. This role provides autonomy within the framework of established policies, allowing you to make impactful decisions. We seek a professional with strong evaluative judgment and operational expertise to achieve outstanding results.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attract and retain talent, managing medium to large teams while developing expertise in your function.
  • Develop roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership.
  • Influence policy and ensure delivery within your area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform the decision-making process.
  • Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
  • Employ sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing, or engineering techniques.
  • Interact with adjacent functions to solve issues.
  • Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis.
  • Use multiple internal and external resources outside of your function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Present business or technical discipline solutions to leaders.
  • Communicate complex messages and negotiate mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 14 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or operations).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Operations.

  • Deep expertise in manufacturing engineering disciplines, design engineering, new product introduction, and working cross functionally with commercial, operations, and engineering teams
  • Knowledge of tollgate and manufacturing/technology readiness processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.


This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
