Wood has been awarded an Operations Readiness Project to support an International Client operation by providing Project Management, Completions and Handover, Start-up, and Operations Readiness advisory and support both within Iraq and Sharjah offices. The Vision of this Contract is to enhance the operation readiness by delivering advisory support to projects that include new installations as well as a series of modifications to the existing facilities. Team of Engineers, Advisors and Operators based in Sharjah and Basra supports in execution of these projects.

Key Objectives

Experienced Field Operator with proven record of delivery in the Oil and Gas industry. Should have experience of all Production facilities, Separation/Chemicals/ Utilities and preferably have experienced of Free Water Knock Out, Produced Water Treatment, Chemical Injection and similar type Process facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the facility's systems are running smoothly and making any necessary changes to optimize throughput and operating efficiency
• Start up and stop equipment, take pressure and flow readings, compute and record data, adjust valves/pressures, and examine and inspect equipment
• Perform regular checks and keep records of temperatures, pressures, concentrations, and flows
• Perform basic tests on the oil/gas/water and chemicals at various processing stages, and do minor equipment maintenance and housekeeping
• Monitor all process parameters and immediately notify supervisors if any alarm conditions are raised and field validate alarm and take any necessary corrective action
• Monitor running equipment PM requirements and notify Supervisors when equipment PM's are due and equipment changes are required
• Monitor chemical injection rates to ensure chemicals are at target rates especially when oil and water production rates are changed
• Log operations daily events and prepare daily production report with process data, lab data, and events of each shift
• Submit daily reports for final review and approval by Supervisor
• Carry out shift handover in a detailed and comprehensive manner
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within your area to ensure safe working conditions
• Interface with Control Room Operators and Field Technicians as required
• Interface with Production Chemist to ensure all required lab samples and analysis is completed and communicated. Take any necessary corrective actions if lab results indicates any off-spec results

Expected:

• BSc (or equivalent) in Engineering preferable
• Minimum of 5-year experience in Oil and Gas Industry with minimum of 2 years as a Field Operator

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience in similar role, with a proven background of delivery
• Experienced in working with multi-cultural personnel / team
• English language skills - proficient in both written and spoken with emphasis on technical comprehension
• Ability to interface and interact with Operations Representatives at all levels
• Confident and ability to work on own initiative
• Desire to learn and develop not only self but others within team - good attitude to continuous improvement
• Ability to demonstrate high level understanding of HSE safe working practices and procedures and their implementation
• Ability to interpret project procedures, standards, specifications, and drawings including PFD's / P&ID's / SLD's / C&E's
• IT literate in all major software packages (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
• Able to implement, manage and audit Permit to Work procedure and Isolation procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge, skills and experience in Oil & Gas Control/DCS Operations
