We are seeking an experienced Offshore Quality Inspector specializing in foundation works for a leading offshore wind client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications during the installation and inspection of monopiles, transition pieces, jackets, and other foundation structures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections on offshore foundation components (e.g., monopiles, transition pieces, suction buckets).
Monitor and verify compliance with project quality standards, applicable codes, and client specifications.
Support and audit the fabrication and installation processes offshore.
Witness and document tests such as NDT, dimensional control, coating, and welding inspections.
Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and certifying authorities.
Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records and generate daily/weekly quality reports.
Identify and report non-conformances and support NCR close-out processes.
Assist with HSE compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
Essential:
Proven offshore experience in quality inspection of wind turbine foundations.
Strong understanding of relevant international standards (e.g., DNV, ISO 3834, EN 1090).
Valid GWO certifications (BST/BSST, Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Sea Survival, Fire Awareness).
Valid offshore medical (e.g., OGUK) and HUET/BOSIET.
Good knowledge of welding and NDT methods (VT, MT, UT, etc.).
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
EU citizenship or valid work permit for Germany.
Desirable:
German language skills.
Experience with offshore wind farms in the North Sea or Baltic Sea.
Quality management qualifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
