This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
Reporting to Planning & Fulfillment Manager you will be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory, from purchase requisition to customer invoice.
You will support internal customer service inquiries, set inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase requisition and purchase orders management.
The role consists of monitoring supplier performances and execute expediting activities, work continuously to improve customer on time delivery and Lead-Time, as well as collaborate with other stakeholders to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
Work model for the role is: LI-Hybrid.

Your role and responsibilities

The role consists of monitoring supplier performances and execute expediting activities, work continuously to improve customer on time delivery and Lead-Time, as well as collaborate with other stakeholders to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
- Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy; defining inventory policies according to this segmentation; calculating and maintaining the inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies; managing the set-up and related enhancements of APO calendar; performing multi-scenarios simulations for the optimization of inventory turns, on-time delivery and inbound freight costs; being responsible for the planning process in case of consignment-stock at external supplier and / or customer facility.
- Releasing purchase requisitions and initiates purchase orders in the system in alignment with customer requirements and according with release strategy and table of authorities; monitoring suppliers order acknowledgments and dispatch advices along with the inbound freight, customs clearance and local transportation processes.
- Monitoring the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal and external suppliers in order to ensure the customer on time delivery; minimizing the late backlog, identifying root causes and recovery plans.
- Tracking goods received at the warehouse in order to verify appropriate delivery, Managing inbound nonconformance reports and discrepancies with suppliers. Monitoring the interface with suppliers systems and resolves errors in order to ensure data quality and operations continuity.
- Managing Materials Resource Planning exception messages, conducting financial risk assessments decisions related to inventory, conducts root case analysis.
- Performing inventory sanity checks, analyses short, excess and obsolete/aging inventory; taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance; being responsible for the Inventory check book process and related periodical follow-ups. Creating and updating suppliers performances reports, overseeing supplier performances and conducts periodical performance reviews.
Qualifications for the role
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in material planning and experience in application of Project Management and Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
- Must be good at data analysis, structure thinking, team working and communication skills.
- Advanced and senior knowledge in SAP MM, APO and MS -Excel is required.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
