Raw Material Planner

In this role You will:

  • Monthly rolling 24-month forecast for base oils in line with LBM processes.
  • Annual Raw Material plan which is aligned with business partners and Procurement
  • Monthly view on all formulation changes impacting additives with documented assumptions.
  • Support the Raw Material Planning Manager in managing the base oil's availability and continuity in the Supply Chain, and, if necessary, take the lead in planning team response to any shortage or crisis on base oils.
  • Manage the monthly Raw Material forecast process, aligning plans to Lubricants Business Management (LBM) business demand, and providing input to the monthly LBM inventory forecast.
  • Chairs the monthly base oils forecast review with Procurement and ensures plants are in place to address any supply and demand imbalances.
  • Manage the implementation of regional formulation changes impacting the manufacturing plants, ensuring that a proper Management of Change (MOC) process is followed.
  • Work with the Raw Material Planning Manager to ensure each manufacturing plant has an effective Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process in place that is aligned to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and business demand plans and uses SAP APO.
  • Input into the Monthly Raw Material Issues Update to the Regional Supply Review (RSR) team and relevant collaborators.
  • Contribute to the RSR by providing updates on all risk, shortage, and cash impacts at a regional level, with a focus on base oils and supplier rebates, where existing.
  • Shaping a continuous improvement agenda for raw material planning.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Fluency in English
  • Minimum of three years Supply Chain experience.
  • Experience of stock management and forecasting & planning within supply chain, preferably of raw materials.
  • Good knowledge of planning systems; knowledge of SAP-APO and Business Objects is preferred.
  • Highly competent on the use of Excel.
  • Power BI would be a huge advantage
  • Problem solving
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in Sales and Customer management within the Lubricants business, finance or supply chain is desirable
  • Experience of working with a diverse team across different geographies
