Job Purpose

To carry out quality control checks and serviceability checks as per established aviation operations manual work instruction/procedures, in the Depot and Apron. Ensuring that the products are as specified and are safe to issue. Also to perform fueling and defueling operations and other related jobs as and when necessary.
Depot Operator is also responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operational tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.

Key Accountabilities

Fuelling Operations

• Carries out daily/weekly visual and instrument Quality control checks in mobile and static equipment. Fuellers, tanks, filter/water separators, strainers, low points, and pipelines. Records the results of the checking and gives the results to the Supervisor.
• Carries out Daily, weekly and monthly checks of Mobile and Static equipment for its functionality and serviceability as per the procedure/checklists.
• Monitors storage tank dips. Carries out physical dips measures to ensure regular fuel level checks and compares the results against the tank gauging system. Completes floating suction checks, conductivity checks and routine serviceability checks on the tanks.
• Performs daily serviceability checks on mobile equipment for its cleanliness, any leaks or damages/dents and also ensure quality test apparatus are ready and available for use.
• Checks the fuel level in the interceptor tank and reports to Depot Supervisor so that arrangements can be made to have the sludge tanker clean the interceptor.

Quality Check and Sampling

• Takes samples from filters, tanks, pipelines and other equipment in the depot and shelters as per company procedures and guidelines.

• Visual inspection and control checks on incoming product by Bridger, including the checking of seals on vehicles if present.
• Cleans and maintains all sampling equipment including buckets, bottles, close-sampling systems, etc.
• Prepares and maintains documentation of all activities and enters data into necessary records/systems.
• Carries out duty of fuelling operator as and when required and performs other related duties as and when assigned by the Supervisor.
• Performs quality control checks on products during receiving and storage using established procedures and standards and completes related documents.
• Undertakes Loading, Unloading and flushing of refueller, defueling operations, internal transfer activities and various quality control checks including Filter Membrane tests, ullage in tanks and other periodic test, chamber/low points.

HSE

• Follows the operations emergency plans and evacuation procedures and can use the safety equipment and fire extinguishers.
• Participate in all the operations' HSE campaigns, training courses, awareness sessions and initiatives deployment to ensure meeting the objectives per each.
• Ensure full compliance to PPE and other safety regulations when assuming all the operations
• Reports all Incidents and Near Misses, immediately to the supervisor
• Follows company emergency and the operations group procedures and participates in Emergency drills accordingly.

Minimum Requirements

• Secondary/high School Certificate.

• 3 years of experience as depot operator.

• UAE valid manual heavy-duty driving license.
• UAE valid light-duty driving license (Preferably Manual).
• Valid Forklift license (As per the site requirement )
