This Position reports to:
Chef de service - Production

As a Production Supervisor, you will report to the Production Area Manager and will be primarily responsible for monitoring production needs in a unionized manufacturing environment that promotes participative management.

This role is part of the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The work model is 100% on-site at the plant, on the evening shift.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge

• Supervise a production team of approximately 15 unionized employees
• Check the availability of equipment, materials, and personnel, and identify production priorities
• Act as a leader in health and safety management
• Identify opportunities and manage improvement plans in your area
• Guide, evaluate, and coach employees in reaching their skill levels
• Identify training needs for production employees
• Participate in production planning
• Lead team meetings
• Participate in shift transition meetings and others

What You Need:

• 2 years of experience supervising employees (preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment)
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence your team
• Autonomous, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Ability to handle and resolve emergency situations and make quick decisions
• Ability to manage change and act as a change agent
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact with various members of the organization
