$83.45/hr base + $21.50/hr ILB (in lieu of benefits). Total hourly compensation: $104.95/hr. Union membership required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains company's quality control standards.
- Advises the Chief Inspector or assignee of all problems and possible alternatives.
- Enforces company's contract specifications, applicable industry guidelines, regulations, and qualifications.
- Notifies the Project Manager of environmental problems immediately.
- Provides appropriate documentation for assigned activities, forwards them electronically to a pre-determined inbox or to the Project Manager for review if there is an issue.
- Advises Project Manager on the status of continuing work and any required extra work by contractor.
- Maintains communication with contractor's representative to enforce/ensure all company policies/procedures are being met.
- Adheres to and enforces safety policies with full stop work authority.
- Abides to all Federal Regulations, Codes, OSHA Standards and DOT Compliances. Experience joining both steel and plastic pipe, HDD's, and general pipeline construction practices.
- Ensure the qualification of procedures will comply with specified requirements of the project and materials being used.
- Responsible for reviewing the current OQ report to ensure crews are properly qualified to perform covered task.
- Ensures the work order construction packet documentation is complete and accurate i.e. Material Transfer Records, As-Builts, Red Lines, Tie-Ins, Fabrication and other required company or client documentation.
- Ensures all activities are performed in a manner that is safe and in a manner that adheres to all company policies/practices and will stop work when a safety concern is noted or when work does not follow the job plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Certifications Required: AWS CWI, NACE Level 2 (or higher), and API 1169
- Knowledge of the Federal Regulations, OSHA Standards and DOT Compliances.
- Knowledgeable quality control experience on construction projects, including low- and high-pressure plastic and steel pipelines and facilities
- Skilled/Ability to obtain and transfer documentation to/from Material Transfer Records, As-Builds, Red Lines, Tie-Ins, Fabrication.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate Client/Contractor Blueprints, Piping & Instrumental Drawings and other documents to ensure job is performed accurately, per specification and safely.
- Knowledgeable of company and client's policies and procedures.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Contract inspectors are to have at least 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry in construction and/or previous inspection classifications.
