Supervisors also train and coach employees, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as the link between frontline teams and management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate daily production schedules to meet quality and output goals.
- Monitor employee performance, address underperformance, and resolve workplace disputes constructively.
- Ensure all team members comply with safety regulations and use required PPE at all times.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize production and time management software to track productivity, identify bottlenecks, and maintain schedules.
- Uphold quality assurance standards and manage nonconformance issues proactively.
- Implement and monitor HACCP protocols to maintain food safety (if applicable).
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including QA, logistics, and maintenance.
- Foster a positive and cooperative team environment by addressing conflict and promoting collaboration.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean & organized work area; utilize safe work habits.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience managing medium to large teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operation.
- Hands-on experience with Lean practices, Six Sigma tools, or other improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with tools like pallet jacks and lift trucks; ability to climb and operate warehouse equipment.
- Computer skills required - Proficient in software such as SAP, Oracle, or other production/time management platforms.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must be willing & able to work any over-time as required.
- Must have a strong understanding of workplace safety, employee relations, and compliance standards.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must maintain a commitment to upholding quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.

- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work in factory environment which may include but are not limited to: high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors.
- Working conditions may be inside and outside with extreme temperature.
