Production Engineering Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

This role is contributing to the {Primary GIS} in {Xiamen China} . Main stakeholders are {ELDS} .

As a factory automation software engineer, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining factory automation control systems, including but not limited to MES and device host computer programming, PLC programming, HMI development, and integration with APS and ERP systems. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Analyze and design software solutions for automation systems, integrating MES systems with PLC and other automation hardware to meet production automation requirements.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and communicate with customers and team members to clarify system requirements.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform unit and integration testing;
  • Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure compatibility and integration of software and hardware;
  • Write technical documentation and user manuals;
  • Provide technical support and continuous improvement for the existing system;

Qualifications for the role

Working with customers to ensure our products and systems provide maximum performance, our Service teams solve a wide variety of key industrial challenges. We increase productivity and reliability, lengthen product life span and improve safety. Critically, we also reduce costs, energy consumption and emissions.

  • Major in Computer Science, Automation, Electronic Engineering related, bachelor's degree or above.
  • At least 3 years of experience in automation control systems or related fields;
  • Candidates with hands-on experience in full production line debugging (including robot workstation setup, multi-robot collaborative debugging, and human-robot collaboration) are preferred.
  • Capable of independently designing the electrical system framework for equipment and proficient in integrating multi-level control systems (e.g., PLC + robot + vision system).
  • Proficient in programming languages including ladder diagrams (LD), function blocks (FBD), and structured text (ST).
  • Proficient in mainstream PLC development environments including Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Inovance.
  • Proficient in writing and applying mainstream automated communication protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus, and Profinet.
  • Capable of independently completing electrical drawing design using CAD, EPLAN etc.
  • Proficient in MES system integration and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.
  • Expertise in on-site problem diagnosis and debugging optimization;
  • Understand cyber security;
  • Chinese/English fluent
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills;
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to handle high-pressure independent tasks.
  • Good self-drive, results-oriented.

任职要求

• 本科及以上,计算机科学、自动化、电子工程或相关专业;

• 3年以上自动化控制系统或相关领域的工作经验;

• 具备独立承担完整产线调试经验者优先(包括机器人工作站搭建、多机器人协作调试及人机协作等);

• 能独立完成设备电气系统框架设计,掌握多层级控制系统集成(如PLC+机器人+视觉系统);

• 精通梯形图LD、功能块FBD、结构化文本ST等编程语言;

• 精通使用西门子、三菱、汇川等主流PLC开发环境;

• 熟练主流自动化通讯协议编写与应用,OPC UA、Modbus、Profinet等;

• 能独立完成电气图纸设计(CAD、EPLAN等工具);

• 熟悉MES系统集成及工业物联网(IIoT)应用;

• 擅长现场问题诊断与调试优化;

• 了解网络安全;

• 中文/英语流利;

• 优秀的沟通、人际关系和协调能力;

• 良好的团队合作精神,能承受较强的独立工作压力;

• 良好的自我驱动力,以结果为导向。
