Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers. Role Overview

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will lead a diverse team to achieve production objectives. Daily management activities will focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC). Additionally, daily management will fall under the umbrella of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's proprietary Lean operating model.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Leadership and development of 20+ experienced front-line manufacturing employees, including hiring and developing talent.
  • Showcase servant leadership and empowerment of the assigned team members while holding them accountable to assigned roles and responsibilities.
  • Create a safety-first culture focused on "leading by example" and work to continuously improve safety via data evaluation and application of a PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) thought process. Additionally, ensure safety audit compliance via training and scheduled safety audits.
  • Work with Quality and Production in a cross-functional data-driven fashion to drive scrap/quality optimization.
  • Track, evaluate, and improve labor performance and productivity.
  • Manage scrap and inventory transactions to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Champion a daily management meeting aimed at fast response to manufacturing issues.
  • Prepare daily shift reports which will give insight into scrap, labor efficiency, and downtime concerns and the associated mitigation efforts.
  • Actively engage in succession planning, for the area, by creating a documented plan and working with associates to help them formally acquire those skills.
  • Work with the team to meet assigned continuous improvement targets.
  • Implement standard work documentation for the area and formally train and document associate training.
  • Exhibit a "Best Demonstrated" type thought process, that does not stop improving once targets are achieved, but rather keeps driving for new "bests".


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Production)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading people in a Manufacturing and/or Production environment
  • This position requires US Citizenship status


Preferred Qualifications
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.
  • Experience in high volume production environment.
  • Automotive electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.


This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
