Wood is currently seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support our projects business. The role involves contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility at a remote site in Saudi Arabia.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical responsibilities
• Support safety-in-design reviews and risk assessments.
• Identify process hazards and recommend controls.
• Follow up closure of actions with engineering & construction teams
Technical Capabilities
• HAZID / HAZOP, PHA, Bow-Tie, LOPA basics.
• Review of P&IDs, PFDs and cause-and-effect.
• MOC, contractor interface risk control, construction safety-in-design.
• Relief & venting, Fire & Gas detection concepts.
Standards
• Knowledge of CCPS, API, NFPA, IEC 61511, ISO 45001, and local regulations.
Soft Skills
• Strong communication, technical reporting, and workshop facilitation.

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's in Chemical/Process/Safety/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
• 5-10 years in high-risk industries (mining / processing / oil & gas).
• Experience across FEED, detailed design, and construction.
