We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineering Specialist – Electrical to join a major LNG producing plant. This role is responsible for executing and optimising all Electrical Engineering Maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, technical integrity, and safe operations within a complex LNG production environment.
Role Purpose To perform and support all Electrical maintenance engineering activities, ensuring efficient maintenance execution and required equipment availability while maintaining full compliance with company and international standards.

Key Responsibilities Technical & Operational Duties
- Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity of electrical systems.
- Promote and strictly adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, safety audits, RCA, and incident investigations when required.
- Review and optimise preventive electrical maintenance plans and task frequencies.
- Supervise and ensure coherence in scheduling of all electrical work requests.
- Prepare and update monthly KPI reports (preventive, corrective, performance, cost, and budget follow-up).
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to electrical maintenance operations to optimise cost and performance.
- Review and update documentation, safety manuals, and procedures.
- Develop and improve maintenance procedures in line with Company Maintenance Policy.
- Validate and ensure implementation of approved maintenance procedures.
- Ensure quality control during execution of electrical maintenance activities.
- Support Maintenance and Reliability teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Lead or contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve reliability and reduce failures.
- Ensure adequate availability of spare parts and materials, including stock reviews and financial justification.
- Coordinate site electrical contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements.
- Contribute to development of technical scopes of work and contractor prequalification processes.
- Supervise specialist electrical service vendors.
- Ensure proper backup and secure archiving of all electrical control systems and packages.
- Initiate and implement electrical modification proposals through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, systems integration, and maintenance methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of international electrical safety standards (ATEX, IECEx).
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 & 2, ISO).
- Good working knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS systems.
- Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Emergency Diesel Generator systems
- Transformers and protection systems
- Electrical switchboards, boards, and drawers
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years’ maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in LNG producing plants (not LNG terminals).
