This Position reports to:
Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to generate the plans that determine what we build, and when, constrained by customer demand, material availability, resource utilization, and business strategy. Each day, you will assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating or maintaining the production plan, use rough-cut and detailed capacity planning, and link it to the demand plan. You will also showcase your expertise by optimising working capital.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Traction Manufacturing facility in Maryborough, QLD. Main stakeholders are Operations Manager, Production Managers, Engineering Manager, and Category Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Running the review process and facilitating planning meetings.
- Preparing Rough Cut Capacity Planning, identifying capacity constraints, and recommending both short- and long-term solutions and mitigation plans to remove bottlenecks.
- Determining the impact of the plan on expected inventory levels, including SIE, monitoring WIP, and recommending WIP rationalization initiatives.
- Identifying key root causes for deviation from the production plan and implementing initiatives to improve adherence to plans.

Qualifications for the role
- You are organized, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a close-knit production team .
- Ability to demonstrate your abilities in Planning and Scheduling by translating competing high level requirements into detailed, actionable plans and schedules.
- You have 5 years of experience in a similar role, or can demonstrate the aptitude to adapt your operational experience
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, Excel, and general ERP systems
- You are passionate about accuracy, consistency, communication and problem-solving, and can demonstrate understanding of the bigger picture.
- Have a demonstrated track record in Production Planning in a manufacturing environment.
- You are at ease communicating in English with technical and managerial stakeholders.
