Job Description

The position holder is responsible for maximizing production machinery reliability, safety, and efficiency through preventive and predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and effective repair execution. This role also oversees equipment installation, leads maintenance teams, ensures compliance with safety and GMP standards, and analyses data to improve machine uptime and reduce operational costs.

This position will be based at the Batam Technology Centre.

Successful candidates are strong communicators who can work effectively with overseas suppliers, enjoy problem-solving, and collaborate well within cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Planning & Strategy: Design and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot complex malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and specialized software.
• System Optimization: Identify and implement upgrades to improve machine performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Leadership & Coordination: Supervise maintenance technicians and specialized contractors and collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules around manufacturing cycles.
• Compliance & Records: Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations and maintain detailed records for quality audit purposes.
• Continuous Improvement: Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 Years of specific experiences preferred.
• Background in automation, exposure to supply chain network, Industry 4.0 vision mindset.
• Fluence in English with the ability to communicate effectively with overseas vendors
• Strong awareness of machine downtime urgency and production impact
• Good leadership and team coordination skills
• Project management experience
• Proficiency in AI-based software/tools is an added advantage
