Job Summary
The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company's position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 790,000 net unconventional acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 180,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.
During 2024, net production averaged 115 MBOED. We operated four rigs and one frac crew on average during 2024, resulting in 66 operated wells drilled and 83 operated wells brought online.
Position Overview
The primary role of the Production Allocation Supervisor will be to manage the production allocation and validation team and be the field-based single point of contact for production revenue accounting and commercial crude organizations. This role will be responsible for streamlining our production data input allocation, and validation processes while managing multiple interfaces including field and Houston based teams.
This is a field-based position in one of our local field offices, and requires some travel to other Bakken field offices, with occasional travel to ConocoPhillips L48 operations or Houston.
This position can be based out of Watford City, New Town, Dunn Center, or Dickinson, ND.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Your responsibilities may include:
- Lead production well test data management.
- Manage the daily well test approval process in conjunction with operations.
- Integrate hMRO well test program into an integrated Bakken well test program.
- Solve reporting issues due to OVS, Bakken Mobile Toolkit, or the Daily Production Report in conjunction with Digital Technology.
- Ensure all monthly well tests and back allocation is complete by end of month.
- Lead the operational transition into Prod View from OVS and Avocet in connection with L48-wide adoption of Prod View. This will include interfacing with stakeholders such as PRA, Operations, BOC, Regulatory, Land and Royalty Compliance, in addition to third party vendors.
- Drive adoption of the new field service management toolkit and ensure appropriate interfaces between downtime reporting and production allocation calculations.
- Interface with operations and maintenance teams to ensure well testing equipment is online and defect elimination is performed as necessary.
- Drive regulatory compliance of well tests by working closely with production engineering, regulatory, operations and maintenance teams.
- Communicate reasons for non-compliance to regulatory.
- Maintain real time well testing dashboard.
- Lead team of Operation Production Assistants and well test technician to ensure timely and accurate monthly production reporting.
- Collaborate with offtake providers, MSOs and OPAs to provide accurate next day reporting for oil, water and gas.
- Work closely with production revenue accounting to minimize prior period adjustments.
- Enable the professional development of OPAs through training, education and site visits.
- Work closely with 3rd party hauling companies to ensure all tickets are received and reported.
- Ensure new wells and pads are brought online successfully and production accurately allocated by working with construction, operations, and production engineering.
- Collaborate with Base Facility Engineering to ensure MOCs are conducive to software well testing capabilities in alignment with L48 Production and Allocation Standards.
- Aid in identifying well issues via well test results.
- Spearhead identification and assessments of technological advancements related to well testing (equipment, software, etc.).
- Maintain and identify program enhancements to meet regulatory and operational requirements for well testing.
- Collaborate with optimization and production engineering personnel to identify trends and performance improvement opportunities.
- Work with operations, maintenance, and engineering to develop accurate monthly crude production forecasts for commercial crude team.
- Continuously communicate with commercial crude team to give updated forecasts as field conditions change.
- Work with commercial and operations teams to optimize planned downtime and identify production sheltering opportunities.
- Maintain vapor pressure testing program in Q1 and Q4 by working with operations, measurement, regulatory and 3rd party testing companies.
- Work through field data issues with 3rd party offtake providers that arise so that accurate data can be reported in a timely manner.

Basic Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Current/Valid driver's license.
- 7 or more years of direct experience in oil and gas engineering or upstream field operations.
- 1 or more years of direct experience in production allocation and/or measurement.
- 1 or more years of supervisory or lead experience.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word.
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 10% on a yearly basis.
- Currently reside or are willing to relocate within a 50-mile driving radius of Watford City, New Town, Dunn Center, or Dickinson, ND.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related Engineering discipline or foreign equivalent.
- 1 or more years of experience working with artificial lift systems (rod pump, gas lift, etc.).
- 1 or more years of experience working with production automation software programs such as Cygnet, Spotfire, XSPOC, etc.
- 1 or more years of experience with production allocation systems including complex networks.
- Extensive working knowledge of field operations including multi-phase process flow, separation, measurement, and custody transfer.
- Working knowledge of compression, plunger lift, rod pump, chemical treating, etc. operations on high pressure and low-pressure gas and oil wells.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in promoting safe work practices.
- Excellent communication skills in working with multiple disciplines.
