JOB PURPOSE

Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic objectives for the adoption of futuristic technologies, specifically in AI domain, in alignment with ADNOC vision. Participate and contribute to establish technology process workflow, technology governance and technology portfolio for the purpose of implementation of cost-effective technologies to achieve business value, 100% HSE, process safety, sustainability & decarbonization goals and technology transformation towards achieving autonomous operations. Identify and develop value-adding technology use cases by leading the ideation, technology scouting, assessment, demonstration, piloting, deployment and scaleup to achieve the efficient implementation of the emerging technologies. Contribute to the development of AI, digital and technology capabilities, skills, and awareness in conjunction with the talent management team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the process of idea generation and collection of value-adding ideas through ideation workshops, to turn business challenges and problem statements into use cases.
  • Scout for state-of-the-art technologies that enhance the business value of the company or mitigate the challenges in the operating assets.
  • Conduct technology assessment by review of vendor proposals, develop design basis & success criteria, facilitate risk assessment to de-risk technology, integrate contributions from various relevant disciplines to identify and select the fit for purpose technology solution.
  • Maintain dedicated focus on AI technology identification, assessment and deployment to achieve higher levels of autonomous operations
  • Implement the technology governance to drive proof of concepts as necessary including the development of acceptance criteria to demonstrate the technology performance.
  • Drive and support the piloting and deployment of the assigned engineering and digital technology projects to ensure successful implementation in the company assets
  • Support the development of AI, digital and technology capabilities, skills, and awareness and conduct digital upskilling program to achieve talent development at various maturity levels across the company.
  • Contribute to the development of technology management roadmap to ensure that all ADNOC Innovation strategic goals and objectives are effectively and efficiently managed.
  • Conduct the technology steering committee and sub-committee meetings periodically and present the company technology portfolio to the leadership and provide support to endorsement decisions.
  • Support the use case governance, change management, communication, portfolio management, value metric reporting and measurement. Develop the company technology portfolio through continuous tracking of KPIs of various technology projects.
  • Coordinate with the end users and facilitate the validation of business value created by deployed technologies and report in the RVT system
  • Drive the assigned research programs in line with technical challenges/opportunities faced by site operations. Provide technical support to obtain research proposals and ensure project progress as planned. Ensure that R&D results will be demonstrated and deployed successfully in company operations in a safe way.
  • Identify short, medium, and long-term partnerships to deliver value from use cases, obtain skills and capabilities and co-development and evaluation of new technologies.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Certification or advanced coursework in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Emerging Technologies is a plus.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on technology and innovation.
  • Proven track record of integrating AI and advanced technologies into large-scale industrial operations.
  • Experience in setting up and managing technology departments, including team building and resource allocation.
  • Expertise in AI applications, data analytics, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and risk assessment.
  • Use case portfolio management, Technology portfolio management activities to support AG achieve strategic targets.
  • Performing portfolio management activities (i.e., initiatives scope definition, budgeting, resource planning, impact quantification, funding requests, financial reporting, timeline definition.
  • Identified technology opportunities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders based on business needs as per the technology map.
  • Production Process Knowledge
  • Data Analysis & Reporting, understanding the basics of data analysis for business having Data analysis skills and tools. How to use these tools to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data. Make better, data-informed decisions to help evaluate new use cases in our operation process.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making, RCA, Critical Thinking and continuous improvements.
  • Communication & Collaboration, understanding the Cross Functional collaboration and Technical Reporting and operational handover.
