Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shift operations including production, planning, and shipping activities
- Drive team performance to meet or exceed production and shipping goals
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
- Lead, coach, and motivate employees to perform at a high level
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and shipping records
- Conduct team meetings to communicate updates, policies, and operational goals
Job Duties
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to meet operational demands
- Track employee attendance and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to company HSE, quality, and operational policies
- Support cross-functional operations and assist in multiple areas as needed
- Operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Work overtime or varying shifts as required and travel occasionally (less than 10%)
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and operational instructions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to work with computer-controlled equipment and manufacturing systems
- Understanding of production processes, shipping specifications, and inventory control
- Proven dependability, strong attendance, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and be cross-trained across multiple functions
