Short Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Technologist with a strong background in offshore production engineering and field development, to lead production optimization strategies and well performance design for a complex offshore asset in Mexico.

Function Description

This role combines advanced production engineering expertise, field development support, and close collaboration with subsurface and facilities teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production while maximizing recovery and long‑term asset value.

As Senior Production Technologist, you will be responsible for:

• Lead production engineering design and optimization activities, ensuring well and field productivity aligned with the Field Development Plan.
• Design and optimize well performance for producers and injectors, including nodal analysis, tubing selection, metallurgy, sandface completions, critical rates, and production envelopes.
• Provide production engineering input to dynamic reservoir simulation, including VFP generation and production forecasts.
• Design and optimize artificial lift systems, with strong focus on ESP selection and performance.
• Lead the concept design and optimization of oil and gas gathering systems, subsea and topside, including production testing and back‑allocation.
• Support business planning and resource management, contributing to internal and external approval processes.
• Actively participate in technical reviews and partner engagements, providing expert production technology input.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree is desirable.
• 12+ years of experience in production technology and production engineering.
• Strong experience supporting Field Development Planning, including offshore and subsea projects.
• Deep technical expertise in nodal analysis, production optimization, integrated production systems, and field surveillance.
• Proven experience in sand control design (e.g., CHFP, CHGP) and ESPs for offshore fields.
• Hands‑on experience with production technology software (e.g., Prosper, GAP, Petex suite, Gohfer, Coflow, Autograph).
