In this role, you will lead the Site Quality Team at the first GE shop outside the USA to produce high pressure turbine airfoils. The role is reporting directly to the Executive Part Family Quality Leader, this staff leadership role is responsible and accountable for meeting all quality influenced plant and Part family KPIs and strategic goals, is a front line leader with a direct and daily impact on GE's product offerings, and has a significant impact/influence on the Part Family strategy in manufacturing, design, quality, and policy. Uniquely to this role commensurate with its unique status within GE, this person will play a significant part in developing and executing the broader European strategy for HPT airfoils.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • This Quality Leader Position will leading Turbine Airfoils Warsaw SC site and is accountable for all Quality outcomes of the manufacturing plant.
  • Ownership of improvement of Quality KPI's-- QEM, MRB line items, and losses
  • Ownership for improvement of FTY with collaboration from Engineering counterparts.
  • Problem solving through DMAIC process and use of statistical tools identifying actions for improvement. Monitor improvements through control phase.
  • Ownership of improving site Quality System along with compliance to the quality system.
  • Champions APQP (Advanced Planning Quality Process) into change management and NPI.
  • Leads a medium sized team of quality engineers.
  • Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Solid experience in Quality
  • Very good level of English
