Wood is currently sourcing for a Plant Panel Operator to join our Client team in Equatorial Guinea. Responsible for the operation of the LNG processing unit during assigned shifts, by maintaining oversight and control of the Distributed Control System (DCS), in compliance with EG LNG's approved Operating Procedures, Process Safety Management Program and Health, Environment and Safety Policies.

Responsible for the operation of the LNG processing unit during assigned shifts, by maintaining oversight and control of the Distributed Control System (DCS), in compliance with EG LNG's approved Operating Procedures, Process Safety Management Program and Health, Environment and Safety Policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The employee is expected to perform the duties outlined in this Job Description and any related responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards -
- Monitor and control process parameters within established operating envelopes in accordance with approved procedures to ensure safe, reliable and compliant LNG production
- Execute plant start-up, shutdown and relevant DCS activities in compliance with approved procedures under the direction of the Shift Supervisor
- Monitor and control the Turbine Generators shared power grid Power Management System in conjunction with MEGPL
- Detect and troubleshoot process deviations and process upsets and initiates appropriate response actions to restore normal operations. Assist in root cause analysis for process upsets and equipment failures
- Serve as the focal point for DCS operational activities in close coordination with upstream feed supply and LNG off taker parties, and field operators
- Maintains detailed and accurate dally handover logs and production reports
- Administer and monitor all work authorizations in strict accordance with the Safe Work Permit procedure, Life Critical procedures, and established Safe Work Practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- National Technological Institute of Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea (ITNHGE) Certificate or National University of Equatorial Guinea
(UNGE) degree (preferred) - First aid, CPR, AED, Incipient Firefighting, Emergency Response, Permit-to-Work, Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER), Portable Gas Detector, etc.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in LNG liquefaction operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of the ConocoPhillips Optimized Cascade® LNG process, as well as the operating principles of cryogenic and refrigeration systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of the operating principles of all process related equipment including rotating and fixed equipment, process instrumentation and control logics, valves, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition {SCAOA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to effectively monitor and adjust process variables
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving process and equipment issues
- Process optimization skills to enhance efficiency, reliability and promote continuous improvement initiatives
