Job Title: Utility Operator - Potlines

Working Location: Dubai

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the PTM operator in safely changing anodes, removing and replacing back pot shields, transferring anode reference marks, monitoring pot voltage, activating/deactivating the anode set logic, and anode dressing.
- Ensure pot beam raising operations are performed according to procedure and in a safe manner.
- Prepare the tapping hole prior to metal tapping.
- Skim the crucible to remove dross.
- Perform metal and bath sampling for quality and chemistry control.
- Support the cell operator/assistant cell operator in activities such as housekeeping, bath tapping/pouring, material addition to pots, pot skimming, and pot redressing.
- Assist in gutter and basement cleaning.
- Attend on-the-job training for Pot Tending Machine (PTM) operation if required.
- Clean crucible and siphon tips.
- Respond efficiently to anode effects to help lower PFC emissions.
- Perform additional operational work as assigned by the Shift Supervisor (such as cleaning pot breaker tips, deck plates, and bumper plates).
- Ensure pot shields and doors are correctly placed and closed to reduce HF emissions.
- Maintain 5S standards and general housekeeping.
- Participate in spotting and reporting hazards to reduce incident frequency and aim for zero lost time injuries (LTI).

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary School Certificate

Minimum Experience:
- At least 1 year as a Potroom Utility Operator

Skills:
- Physically fit and able to work in various shift schedules within Potrooms.
- Strong learning skills with the ability to understand the aluminium smelting process.
- English communication skills.
- Ability to complete training and operate Pot Tending Machines, Anode Beam Raising Equipment, and general Potroom tools, vehicles, or equipment as required.
