Short Description

We are looking for a Plant Manager, who will be responsible for managing all plant, equipment, and site facilities associated with shaft and tunnelling operations in New York.

Function Description

For this project you will be expected to:

• Oversee operation and maintenance of tunnelling plant (TBM systems, slurry plant, bentonite systems, pumps, conveyors, cranes, ventilation systems)
• Manage plant installation in shafts and staging areas
• Ensure continuous operation with minimal downtime
• Supervise plant operators, mechanics, and technicians
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with environmental and NYC DEP requirements (slurry handling, wastewater)
• Optimize plant performance and cost efficiency
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and certifications

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Min. 9 years in tunnelling project operations
• Experience with slurry TBM or microtunnelling plants (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and site logistics
• High level of English and/or Spanish
