Knowledge:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of piping design principles, industry practices, codes, and standards.
  2. Proficiency in utilizing piping design software and tools, including AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, or similar.
  3. Familiarity with EPC contracts, risk assessments, and design safety reviews.
  4. Understanding of project management methodologies and experience with planning and scheduling.
  5. Sound skill in problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation.

 

Experience:

  1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of piping systems in LNG plants or oil & gas sectors, with at least five years in a leadership role.
  2. Proven track record of managing the piping design engineering on large scale projects.
  3. Experience in conducting design reviews, design safety reviews, and risk assessments.
  4. Previous experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with other discipline leads, project managers, and clients.
  5. Experience in technical guiding during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
  6. History of preparing KPI and regular reports on the progress and status of design activities.
  7. Experience in serving as the main point of contact for the client on all activities related to piping.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in and interact with planning teams to schedule piping-related activities.
  2. Oversee the piping design and documentation of offshore LNG plant modules to ensure alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Support the Piping Lead discipline and monitor the execution of piping scope per the schedule.
  4. Coordinate with other discipline leads, project managers, and clients to ensure the seamless integration of piping design elements with other project components.
  5. Ensure piping deliverables are issued in compliance with project specifications and project requirements.
  6. Conduct regular piping design reviews and audits to identify potential design issues or improvements.
  7. Participate in risk assessments and design safety reviews, implementing necessary measures to mitigate any identified risks.
  8. Provide technical assistance during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases, addressing any piping issues that may arise.
  9. Prepare KPI and regular reports on the progress and status of piping design activities, providing updates to the engineering manager.
