Your role and responsibilities

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a team in the production department of the Iberville plant (700 Avenue Thomas, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu) in the Electrification - Installation Products division, overseeing the Microlectric/ Receiving & Supply/ Super Strut/ Joslyn product lines. Your role is to ensure continuous and efficient production operations in accordance with plans, procedures, quality standards, and safety policies. This involves supervising 60% of the evening shift production floor. Reporting to the Head of Production & Maintenance, you will contribute to transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products on time and profitably by managing resources to achieve goals. Responsibilities: • Lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the production department (20 to 30 employees) - Evening shift position. • Identify production deficiencies, propose improvements, and supervise their implementation. • Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and technical facilities. • Work closely with HR administration to ensure that production is well-organized, staffed with competent personnel, and properly managed. • Guide, motivate, and develop less experienced team members to help them reach their potential.

Qualifications for the role

  • 2 to 5 years of experience managing unionized personnel as a production supervisor or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working on a production line (supervisory experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • DEC in management or any other related field or equivalent experiences.
  • Spoken and written French.
