ProductionTRACTEBEL-Engie Chile, is seeking Mechanical/Process Engineer (above +8 years of experience) to join our engineering team in Santiago.
Candidates must have english language skills to work in a multicultural environment and international projects (Interview will be in English language).
Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineerings Support: Support the project design review, and support field engineering.
- Documentation and Review: Prepare and review project documents, including drawings, budgets, schedules, and startup/commissioning reports. Ensure accuracy and adherence to technical requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, the project and client teams, facilitating clear communication and coordination across all phases of site projects.
- Technical Guidance: Provide direct support and technical input to data center services and operations teams, defining design requirements and ensuring project milestones meet regional standards.
- Site-Specific Adaptation: Address engineering requests, manage project-specific issues, and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with the engineering team to meet project requirements.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Maintain high standards in quality and control procedures, support vendor teams in technical resolutions, and oversee testing and commissioning.
- Localization Engineering: Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new technology, and adapt designs to meet local (standards and project specifications.
- Vendor management: Experience associated with construction and project execution (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering or Process engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local (Chilean) technical normatives and standards related to water system, fire protection, hazard substances handling and safety design.
- 8+ years of experience involved in industrial critical projects (data center, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, water etc.).
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Cooling, Diesel Generators, Fire Protection, Piping systems in large-scale construction projects and ability to oversee multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is required ( required to communicate complex technical concepts clearly with international stakeholders, vendors, and teams).
- Proven track record in hyperscale and mission-critical projects, preferably within the data center or Mechanical Industrial projects.
- Physically able to work on site construction environment
