Do you have experience as a Batch Plant Operator? Are you ready to assist our client for the second largest TBM tunnel project in North America?

Function description

As a Batch Plant Operator you are in charge of the mixing process, ensuring that the batch meets the customer's order, and check the batch against specifications and regulations on the requirements of each concrete type.

You will be responsible for:

• Producing on-time & in-spec concrete for the customer
• Prints out delivery tickets on each truck/load and file
• Must be able to operate plant controls and programs
• Responsible for daily inspection of facilities, do necessary repairs and will complete maintenance checklist
• The asphalt operator must be available to work days, nights and Saturdays if needed
• Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA, WSHA, DOLSH and company policies
• Keeping accurate inventory of cement, fly ash, admixtures, aggregates
• Maintain proper raw material levels and order as needed (aggregates, cement, additives)
• Competently use, adjust and troubleshoot Command Alkon software
• Load aggregate material into batch plant

Requirements

You must have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role working in a pavements environment on a large scale civil construction project and with supervision experience,
• Sound technical knowledge of foam bitumen production and placement specifications
• Competent in planning, organizing and prioritizing work tasks
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in a busy working environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally
• Competent problem solving and analytical skills
• Requires experience to recognize various products by sight and to understand proper plant operation
• Requires a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in batch plant operation
• Must be familiar with the material manufacturing process the safety and environmental issues related to ready mix
• Mechanical knowledge a must
• Previous related experience as a Batch Plant Operator
