Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team in the oil & gas sector, specialising in FPSO projects. This role will involve key quantity surveying activities on-site, with a focus on post-subcontract administration and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in remeasurement, contract administration, and financial forecasting within large-scale marine or offshore construction projects.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct remeasurement quantity verifications against IFC drawings submitted by subcontractors.

Manage change work, including reimbursable and miscellaneous works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract agreements.

Prepare monthly cost forecasts based on WCR/MTO versus contractual values.

Track Site Instructions (SI) / Change Requests (CR) logs and estimate cost impacts, keeping project management teams informed.

Negotiate with subcontractors and support the Lead QS in final account closure.

Conduct material reconciliation against free-issued quantities and as-built records, ensuring accuracy and cost control.

Maintain secure records of final project close-out documents using internal repository systems.
Collaboration and Reporting

Report directly to the Lead QS and departmental head.

Work closely with subcontractors and the wider construction team to ensure smooth project execution.

Regularly liaise with engineering teams, discipline leads, superintendents, and construction and quality managers to stay updated on project progress.
Core Skills & Expertise

Strong understanding of subcontracts agreements, remeasurement mechanisms, and cost structures.

In-depth knowledge of contract pricing schedules, schedule of rates, and support services unit rates.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Concatenate, data validation, and error troubleshooting).

Ability to coordinate with engineering, planning, and quality teams to identify and assess potential changes.

Experience in tracking change logs, verifying remeasurement quantities, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Expertise in verifying reimbursable cost-plus documents and customs clearance records for accuracy.

Skilled in cost assessment of time & material works, subcontractor liaison, and final account closures.
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or quantity surveying discipline.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the oil & gas, FPSO, shipbuilding, or shipyard industries.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and document management systems such as SharePoint.

Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous but not essential.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
