QA/QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
Location
Salzgitter, Germany
Project Context
Large-scale industrial steel plant project, with activities running until 2027.
Role Overview
The QA/QC Engineer E&I will be responsible for ensuring that all Electrical and Instrumentation works are executed in full compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and international quality standards. The role requires close coordination with construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and the client to guarantee quality throughout installation, testing, and handover phases.
Main Responsibilities

Perform inspection, testing, and verification of Electrical & Instrumentation installations in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards.

Review and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), test reports, loop checks, calibration certificates, and commissioning documentation.

Coordinate QA/QC activities with construction and commissioning teams to ensure smooth execution and quality compliance.

Identify, report, and track non-conformities (NCRs); prepare punch lists and verify implementation of corrective actions.

Supervise subcontractors’ E&I activities, ensuring workmanship and materials meet QA/QC requirements.

Interface with the Client and Main Contractor during inspections, audits, and quality reviews.

Support preparation and validation of handover and as-built documentation.
Profile Requirements

Degree or solid background as Electrical Engineer or Instrumentation Engineer.

Proven experience as QA/QC Engineer E&I on industrial projects (steel plants, Oil & Gas, heavy industry).

Good knowledge of international standards such as IEC, ISA, API, ISO 9001.

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.

Good command of English (German not required).
