We’re seeking skilled Senior Planners to join the Hinkley Point C team, helping to shape the future of the UK’s energy landscape.
As the first new nuclear power station to be constructed in the UK in over two decades, Hinkley Point C represents a critical step towards achieving the nation’s energy security and sustainability goals. Contributing to this monumental project, you’ll help ensure safe, efficient program coordination across complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems from construction through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate program activities for Mechanical and Electrical systems at Hinkley Point C, synchronizing complex components and timelines.
- Ensure project planning is managed efficiently using P6 and Tilos, focusing on accuracy and progress tracking.
- Work on-site in Bridgwater 2-3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the time.
- Collaborate across teams to oversee safety, environmental standards, and risk management, ensuring high standards are met throughout each project phase.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role, handling MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health) program coordination, ideally on large-scale projects.
- A professional qualification or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Tilos software for efficient planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of planning standards, WBS (Work Breakdown Structures), and asset structures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a flexible approach and commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in MEP Program Management, especially within nuclear or large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) models.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
- Experience in a self-assurance contract environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Projects.
- Understanding of commissioning and installation processes for Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in programming M&E service packages.
- Must hold UK passport
