As a Trade Compliance Director at Honeywell, you will have a significant impact on the company's global operations and success. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with international import/trade regulations, which is crucial for the smooth flow of cross-border transactions. You will report directly to our Sr Director Trade Compliance and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Support Honeywell Mergers and Acquisitions and separation of the Honeywell automation and aerospace businesses
- Develop and implement import/trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import regulations
- Manage and oversee import procedures, including Customs classification, country of origin, and customs valuation
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of risk, improvement and implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on import/trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
- Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve import/ trade compliance issues and mitigate risks

YOU MUST HAVE:
- 10+ years of experience in import/trade compliance, preferably in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, including customs laws
- Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including Customs classification, country of origin and customs valuation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities and regulatory agencies
- Experience in leading and managing a team of trade compliance professionals
