As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role ingrowing the Oil & Gas sales revenue goals for the Emerson Asia Measurement Solutions business unit (field measurement devices) by effectively developing and driving the regional strategies. You will directly report to the Sales Director and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Service and Sales.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Design growth model for the O&G industry
  • Assess the O&G industry trends, dynamics, coverage in the region and develop an actionable growth bridge plan for the sales organisation.
  • Providing technical leadership and innovative thinking in a wide range of oil & gas processes, applications and industry fundamentals
  • Co-ordinate Strategic Account Activities to increase Emerson penetration and become the supplier of first choice
  • Meet or exceed industry bookings with revenues as per Measurement Solutions Financial Plan.

Sales campaign development and marketing Initiatives
  • Lead industry segment sales campaign development including campaign planning to define target segments, value drivers and differentiation messaging
  • Maintain insight to top AP qualified opportunities for assigned industry and effectively co-ordinate activities and campaigns to drive the growth
  • Support the AP sales and marketing team to assure alignment in marketing messaging as well as demonstrating of core Measurement Solutions growth strategies.
  • Ensure tools and necessary materials, playbook, training are provided to the AP world marketing and selling organizations to achieve knowledge proficiency for assigned product lines and new products.
  • Effectively presents products / solutions to mid to senior level customers, including ability to demonstrate product fit into the oil & gas engagements and messaging
  • Network within your target Industry segment to influence and improve Emerson success and awareness.
  • Using customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage the entire sales cycle, prioritize activities, and provide accurate forecasting information.
  • Actively contributes to global product marketing prioritization process as well as development of global industry strategy development.
  • Assist with price management of assigned industry including market and competitive price trends.

Industry segment stewardship
  • Conduct market assessments, changing customer needs, new technologies and investment strategies, competitive behavior
  • Coordinate with global partners and industry leaders on the customer requirements, and NPD requirement with the world area perspective
  • Lead the WA Industry sales community, serve as the team leader for industry-focused Field sales and BDMs, sharing best practices and ensuring consistent execution of value creation actions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, petroleum or related comparable engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills a must
  • Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win
  • Understanding of the selling and marketing process, familiarity with industry standards and approvals
  • Direct sales experience at a customer management level. Should have proficiency to connect digitally with both internal and external customers to achieve the desired goals.
  • Ability to compile and deliver an audience specific presentation.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • MBA or any equivalent experience is preferred
  • Oil and Gas industry experience will be given preference.
  • Demonstrated ability in long-term strategic planning and in implementing a strategic plan through tactical achievement is a plus
  • Detailed understanding of all the Measurement Solutions products being promoted will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of customers and competitors within the defined Global territory is a plus
