We are looking to add a Business Development Manager - Renewable Energy Enterprise Software Solutions to our team. This a remote position.
As part of the Renewables Business Development team, you will drive growth of Emerson's Renewable Technologies for business in the North American Wind, PV Solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) market. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $185,000 annually + bonus, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the renewable remote operations market and Emerson's solutions for Wind, PV & BESS energy applications. Understand SCADA, APM, EMS & GMS systems, NERC CIP requirements and IT/OT convergence solutions. Understand operations, asset management, control applications, and the government/industry drivers within the market and provide knowledge and training to the North America Sales force.
- Identify target applications, competitors, and/or customers in which Emerson controls are particularly well-suited to fill niches and opportunities in the power utility market. Identify potential third-party business partners to fill gaps in our solution portfolio.
- Develop solution messaging for renewable energy solutions to address pains and desires of North America Power Users. Coordinate with and drive the sales force as needed to promote Emerson's renewable energy solutions.
- Collaborate with PWS Marketing and Communications team to develop product literature, presentations, and other media to support renewable energy promotions.
- Collaborate on New Product Development processes for solar and energy storage market products. Capture 'voice of the customer' feedback and marketing information to drive future product enhancements.
- Identify, prepare for, and attend trade events that promote Emerson renewable energy solutions.
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a similar STEM related field
- Proven strong understanding of how utilities, IPPs, ISPs and others operate and manage Wind, PV and BESS facilities, how they use enterprise software solutions and how they are applied in the North American power market
- Knowledgeable of Renewable energy control room requirements and NERC CIP requirements
- Familiar with CAPEX / OPEX budgeting process for utilities and IPPs
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the utility scale Wind, PV or BESS operating industries for a technology provider, service provide or end user
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in utility scale power generation marketing, sales, projects, operations or product development
- Ability to travel 25-35% of the time
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Demonstrated experience promoting and presenting products and solutions directly to end users
- Ability to anticipate customers' needs from first-hand experience in renewable operations and control
- Willingness to find creative solutions for customers and then align external and internal partners for successful delivery.
