Business Development Manager - Drilling Motors

JOB DESCRIPTION

Drive business development and company market share related to Drilling Motors product line. Manage, develop and strengthen NOV relationships with customers evidenced by an increased share of their wallet and/or sales growth. Increase revenue while maximizing profitability. Work with customers and NOV personnel to identify, develop and deliver value added, customer driven products, services and solutions.

We are seeking candidates who are currently working in a similar business development role. The ideal candidate has experience strengthening customer relationships, presenting products and services, providing technical input on applications or projects, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that support customer needs and business growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain an understanding of customer strategies and requirements (both known and unrealized) and recommend or assist in the delivery and/or development of products, services and solutions that support customer strategies and satisfy their needs;
  • Obtain a general understanding of the dynamics and technology trends of the markets in which NOV customers compete;
  • Manage, develop and strengthen NOV relationships with customers evidenced by an increased share of their wallet and/or sales growth;
  • Work with customers and NOV personnel to identify, develop and deliver value added, customer driven products, services and solutions;
  • Provide technical assessments of NOV product performance and customer feedback on NOV service quality to NOV;
  • Provide technical support in the sizing and application of pumps and projects;
  • Present product/service presentations to customers;
  • Become familiar with market needs, technology developments and trends through customer calls, industry contacts and participation in industry organizations, trade shows and technical conferences;
  • Create customer profiles highlighting their strategy and needs, and NOV strategy and initiatives to address them and help them grow their business;
  • Travel is required for training and development;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of industry experience in a similar or related role;
  • Excellent understanding of the oil and gas industry;
  • Strong understanding Directional Drilling and Drilling Motors product line;


Technical Requirements (software or program knowledge needed):

  • Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point;


Skills:

  • Organization and time management;
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work alone or part of a team.
