Your role and responsibilities

Are you currently pursuing a degree where you need an opportunity to gain hands-on, study-relevant experience within a large, global company? Then you've come to the right place!

Fetching coffee, making copies, or clearing meeting rooms is not part of the job description for a student assistant at ABB. Quite the opposite. Here, a student job is your chance to apply theoretical knowledge from your studies in real business contexts. You'll get to test your skills on projects and tasks that truly matter to our business - and as long as you're willing to try, we'll be right behind you.

Your New Team and Workplace

You will join our skilled and dedicated sales team working with a wide range of sales activities related to automation technology for pharmaceutical production or Energy Transition. In this role, you will support the Head of Sales directly on strategic and operational tasks, gaining valuable insights into one of the hottest sectors in Danish business life at the moment.

Your new workplace will be our office in Ballerup. It's just a 20-minute train ride from Copenhagen Central Station to Malmparken Station, which is within walking distance of the office. We compensate you for your travel time every time you're on-site. While we value working together physically as a team, flexibility is important to us - so you'll also have the option to work from home occasionally.

Your responsibilities

Below are some of the key tasks you'll be involved in - but we're open to new ideas if they bring value to the business. And don't worry, we don't expect you to master everything overnight.

  • Participate in strategy meetings, take notes, update strategies, and follow up on tasks
  • Plan and coordinate department meetings in collaboration with the Head of Sales
  • Update the opportunity list based on external sources for the different industries
  • Follow up on strategic tasks - ranging from process optimization to change management
  • Coordinate bid meetings, including agenda and participants
  • Provide ad hoc support: Support on Change Management tasks, Business Intelligence gathering, MoM of various meetings, prepare presentations


Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant education
  • Ready to work 15 hours a week - of course with respect for periods with assignments and exams
  • The ability to listen and take in new info as well as feedback related to specific tasks
  • The courage to ask and look for relevant information, when you need it
  • The ability to plan ahead and handle deadlines - you are part of a project organization
  • Good English skills - Danish skills will benefit you but is not a prerequisite for applying
