This Position reports to:
Director, Global Sales Support
Your role and responsibilities
You will drive the sales performance of synchronous and induction machines in Motion High Power division's Business Line Slow-Speed Synchronou s in Finland, specifying and implementing effective sales and business development initiatives in line with global strategy. T ogether with an experienced team of Sales Managers, you will have responsibility of sales to selected ABB P rocess A utomation countries and segments for large synchronous and induction machines portfolio , both commercially and technically. You will contribute to creating value propositions towards ABB customers, execute sales strategy and contribute to business development activities to grow the business.
The role is located in Helsinki. We offer a hybrid work model.

The High Power Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators and drives. From general purpose to highly customized designs, synchronous motors and high voltage induction motors provide high efficiency, reliability and availability across all major industries and ap-plications, including some in the toughest and most demanding environments. The division also has a long track record of designing and building generators for wide range of industries, including power generation, marine, oil and gas, mining, and data centers.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Identifying new business opportunities and being responsible of sales to ABB PA Marine for selected countries or /and segments
- Coordinating the information flow around sales activities, and providing forecasts and market intelligence to marketing and sales, as well as product management
- Establishing strong customer relationships and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale
- Conducting contract risk assessments and working closely with relevant parties to mitigate risks
- Developing and contributing to account plans to meet the business and customer needs
Qualifications for the role
- You have several years of experience working as Sales Manager, Sales Support Engineer, R&D Engineer, or in another relevant role
- Work experience in heavy industry company, preferably with synchronous or induction machines
- Ready to learn a clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms
- You enjoy working with clients and have a positive outlook
- Valid working permit in Finland
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or in a similar relevant field
- Fluent written and spoken English skills, Finnish is an advantage
