This Position reports to:
Local Division Manager - Drives Products and System Drives
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for sales of Variable Speed Drives to the HVAC & Data Center Industry segments within the NSW region. You should be passionate about building long-term customer relationships and managing customer needs to resolve issues and support the positive development of their business and partnership with ABB.
Reporting to the Local Division Manager, you will have a strong track record of identifying and successfully acquiring sales opportunities, and a growth mindset focused on increasing market share through the conversion of our competitor customer base.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Drive Sales & Growth: Sell drives as products and systems, achieving volume, mix, and profitability targets while developing new growth opportunities through strategic account management in HVAC and Data Center segments.
- Customer & Market Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and influencers, support ABB's channels to market (OEMs, Distributors, System Integrators, Panel Builders), and lead multi-tender bids to capture new business.
- Strategy & Collaboration: Prepare and execute annual sales strategies for the NSW Drives market, prioritize major opportunities, and foster knowledge sharing across divisions and countries to strengthen ABB's competitive position
- Operational Excellence & Safety: Maintain Salesforce CRM to track performance and trends, ensure accuracy in offers and contracts, participate in negotiations, and uphold workplace safety standards through training, PPE compliance, and incident reporting.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's in Engineering or similar is preferred.
- Product knowledge and understanding of drives technology to support customers
- Previous experience in Business Development Management and Sales
- Understanding of NSW HVAC and Data Center customer base
- Knowledge of HVAC applications
- Ideally experience in Sales Force will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
