The business operates across multiple renewable energy verticals, including wind energy, energy storage systems (BESS), and digital energy solutions, supporting the global transition toward low-carbon and net-zero outcomes.About the RoleWe are seeking a commercially driven Account Manager with a strong new client engagement focus to expand the company's customer base across the South East Asia region. This role is heavily weighted toward originating new client relationships, opening new accounts, and converting early-stage engagement into long-term commercial partnerships.The successful candidate will act as a front-line commercial representative in the region, engaging with new customers, identifying project opportunities, and leading the commercial cycle from initial outreach through to contract negotiation and close. This is a high-impact role for a proactive, hunter-minded individual with strong market presence and deal-closing capability in the BESS sector.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, develop, and secure new client relationships across the SEA renewable energy marketOriginate and qualify new commercial opportunities with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, developers, and strategic partners targeting large scale utility projects Lead early-stage client engagement, market entry discussions, and solution positioningDrive the full commercial lifecycle from lead generation and opportunity development through proposal, negotiation, and contract closeDevelop and execute regional new business and market penetration strategiesWork closely with internal engineering, sales, and project teams to shape commercially viable technical solutionsBuild and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers, sponsors, and project stakeholdersMonitor regional market trends, policy developments, and competitor activity to identify white-space opportunitiesRepresent the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand market presence and pipelineMaintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity tracking, and reportingQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)10+ years of commercial experience in business development, account management, or sales within renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sectorsDemonstrated success in new client acquisition, market entry, and deal originationStrong understanding of renewable energy technologies, particularly wind and energy storage systemsProven ability to lead commercial negotiations and close complex, high-value contractsExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hunter-oriented approachComfortable working independently in a regional, cross-border environmentWillingness to travel within the region as required
