AbTC is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research and computing facilities. We work on the development of commercial software applications in the physical sciences to meet the current and future challenges of the energy industry.
Description & Scope:
We are looking for highly skilled and innovative scientists to intern with our Structural and Reservoir Modeling team as a Product Analyst. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of geological modeling technologies for the global energy industry. Your work will influence the development and deployment of domain features within our Petrel and Delfi platforms, industry-leading solutions trusted worldwide.
The project will build and leverage your skills in the fields of structural geology, gridding, reservoir geology and geostatistics to propose solutions to real industry challenges. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact at scale, advancing SLB's leadership in digital subsurface solutions. Drive next-generation algorithms, cutting-edge modeling methodologies, and integrated workflows that accelerate decision-making for our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Leverage your domain experience to engage with internal and customer, petrotechnical expert communities.
- Explore and research product requirements, ensuring alignment with market trends and client workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to protype and deliver innovative solutions that enhance modeling accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
- Share the outcomes of your work through industry conferences, technical forums, and/or internal events, showcasing both product capabilities and your technical expertise.
- Develop insights on emerging technologies such as AI/ML, uncertainty modeling, and HPC-enabled workflows.
Qualifications:
- Studying or completed Masters in geoscience, geostatistics, applied mathematics, or related field.
- Foundational expertise in reservoir modeling, structural geology, and geostatistics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in data science, AI/ML applications, and/or uncertainty quantification.
- Previous experience with geological modeling software.
