The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for the preparation of proposals based on customers incoming request for quotes. This person must have the ability to interpret customer's technical and commercial documents to ensure the quotations meet both company and the customer's requirements.
  • Develop the capability to quote all assigned products for the market Business Line served globally to customers per the go to market strategy service level requirements.
  • Respond to customer phone calls and emails timely and professionally.
  • Review incoming requests from the filtering team and/or direct from customer, review customer requirements including technical and commercial specifications and documents.
  • Calculate price and discounts utilizing approved process and price lists.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate costing/pricing authority when products or special adders are outside of the standard price lists.
  • Provide solutions or offer alternatives to the customer inquiries that meet their requirements.
  • Prepare and send quotations on time quotations that exceed the customer expectations.
  • Cultivate friendly, personal relationships with key customers, learning their needs and preferences.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers, field sales personnel, and other regarding orders, inquiries and other related activities.
  • Responsible for outbond delivery note creation in ensuring they are executed inline with the manufacturing plant requirements, handle billing of sales orders, rental contracts and field service orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Act as the focal point for manufacturing plants and locations to execute the outbound delivery notes and as well the billings.
  • Co-ordinate with respective stakeholders for the timely completion of Delivery note and Billing.
  • Interfaces directly with Planning, Warehouse, Shipping department and Trade compliance to ensure effective and timely service.
  • Work closely with respective locations, billing team to process the invoicing efficiently.
  • Provide monthly status of backlog delivery notes, billing backlog and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate various reports from ERP system based on requirements from stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree and qualification level.
    • Non-engineers - BBA, Bcom
  • Years of specific experience: 0-2 years relevant
  • Knowledge of specific systems
    • SAP or any ERP
    • Commercial terms
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
  • Desirable experience/skills/languages
    • Product knowledge
    • Trade Compliance terms
    • Legal terms
