Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to Handle Sales, marketing and prescription activities related to products, within the defined industry segment for PAN India. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the select market segment. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite
This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Installation Products in India. will be based at Bangalore - India.

The Division's products are engineered to provide ease of installation and perform in demanding and harsh conditions, helping to ensure safety and continuous operation for utilities, businesses and people around the world. The Commercial Essentials product segment includes electrical junction boxes, commercial fittings, strut and cable tray metal framing systems for commercial and residential construction. The Premier Industrial product segment includes multiple product lines, such as Ty-Rap® cable ties, T&B Liquid tight Systems® protection products, PVC coated and nylon conduit systems, power connection and grounding systems, and cable protection systems of conduits and fittings for harsh and industrial applications. - Business & Sales Ownership: Promote business growth and manage sales budgets for the Earthing & Lightning Protection segment, with regional responsibility across all Installation Products Division offerings.
- Customer & Influencer Engagement: Build lasting relationships with key customers, consultants, and external influencers to capture new business opportunities and expand ABB's market presence.
- Standards & Technical Knowledge: Provide specialized guidance to teams and customers on international and local standards and codes applicable to ABB earthing and lightning protection solutions.
- Market Intelligence & Sales Execution: Conduct market visits, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration, Marketing & Reporting: Facilitate cross-division collaboration and knowledge sharing, execute effective marketing activities to articulate ABB's value proposition, and deliver regular sales and marketing performance reports with actionable insights to management.
Qualifications for the role:
- Education & Experience: BE in Electrical & Electronics with 8-15 years of experience in the switchgear industry.
- Product & Customer Knowledge: Deep understanding of ABB Installation Products, customer requirements, and market dynamics.
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in effectively guiding strategic business development and growth initiatives.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners.
- Strategic Thinking: Proficiency in developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Proficient written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Methodological & Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient methodological capability to interpret data, identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and solve complex business challenges.
- Technical Standards Knowledge: Working knowledge of Lightning Protection standards (IEC/IS 62305, NFC 17-102) and various earthing systems applicable to industrial and infrastructure projects.
