JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV is looking for a seasoned, commercially driven sales professional to take ownership of key Downhole Broadband Services (DBS) contracts with major operators. This role is critical to growing our North Sea footprint, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving long-term value creation.

You will act as the sales lead for DBS in the region, managing day-to-day customer engagement in Norway while also supporting broader international marketing, shared adoption, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage major operator contracts on a day-to-day basis
  • Lead the identification, support, and execution of the DBS sales strategy within the region
  • Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and product penetration; track and report progress monthly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at all customer levels
  • Identify customer needs and develop commercial solutions that deliver measurable value
  • Work closely with operations to support existing and new business opportunities, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment
  • Monitor market conditions, challenges, and trends to inform strategy and positioning
  • Collaborate with Product Line Management (PLMs), regional sales teams, and operations to support product value definition
  • Support strategic marketing with technical insight, application knowledge, and customer presentations
  • Represent NOV MDT DBS at industry forums and organizations such as SPE, IADC, and customer events
  • Build intercompany synergies to leverage bundled offering opportunities
  • Ensure all activities align with NOV systems, quality standards, and HSE requirements


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BSc) required; preferably in Petroleum Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in downhole or subsurface environments
  • Solid understanding of drilling operations and the offshore oil & gas landscape
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical capability into customer value
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience working with major operators in the North Sea is a strong advantage
